When there is a bear encounter, humans are to not run, slowly back up and walk away. It’s a bear’s natural instinct to chase. If in your home, do not try and chase the bear out, their natural instance is to go out the same way they entered. The bears are quite docile with a natural instinct to flight rather than fight.
