SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Author Lori Howell Thompson is holding a book signing and wine-tasting event to launch her book, “Living in Harmony with Wildlife in Lake Tahoe.”

Thompson, who lived at Rubicon Bay for over 50 years, has been collaborating with Denise Upton, the animal director for Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care, and Toogee Sielsch, a Lake Tahoe black bear specialist, in writing her book.

The book signing event is on May 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Cork & More in South Lake Tahoe, located at 1032 Al Tahoe Blvd. The cost is $10 for winetasting. Please call 530.544.5253 to reserve your spot at the event, even those not having wine, so capacity can be monitored.

Thompson said her goal in writing the book is to educate all humans about how critically important it is to learn how to coexist with wildlife.
